Some old paintings include “Penitent Saint Jerome in Landscape” (1525-1530), and “Road in the Woods” (painted by Meindert Hobbema in the 1670s). More recent landscapes include “Edge of the Forest in Spring” (painted by Alfred Sisley in 1889), and “Genesis” (painted by Ernest Lawson in 1919-20). There is also some detail from two works by Le Lorrain (Claude Gellée) “Landscape with a Piping Shepherd" (1667) and “Mill on the Tiber” (c. 1650).
