Care instruction

Our fabric labels have a permanent wash fast print. The material is strong, yet soft, and will easily last the life of your garment or accessory. To ensure your label stays in tip-top condition we recommend ironing at 30°C maximum. Cool washing, 40°C maximum. Tumble drying on low heat. Exceeding these settings can result in colour bleed.

How We Make Your Fabric Labels

Lovingly hand crafted to order in our studios, they're a beautiful addition to your handmade business. We print directly onto the satin, locking the colours deep into the fabric fibres, creating a permanent print that won't fade away over time or with washing. We cut the satin to size, and finish it to your specification; either folded or flat. See below for more information on these two custom clothing label options. Made from 100% polyester soft woven satin fabric, our full colour clothing labels offer outstanding wear and abrasion resistance. The woven satin labels can be used on any type of garment from t-shirts and boxer shorts to jackets and footwear. Due to the print quality of the fabric, our custom clothing labels display a smooth and soft appearance with lustre, giving the finished garment a rich feel. 3 year guarantee on print and material.

Whilst we use a woven satin fabric, your labels are not embroidered. They are printed on to give you the greater advantage of excellent colour print, full brand logo and better readability.

Options for Satin Clothing Labels

Folded: has a closed edge and the cut edge is to be sewn in. If you are creating a folded label, see this advice: how to position your design on a folded label.

Flat: has heat sealed cut edges. The ends are meant to be folded as we don’t achieve a skin side finished edge, it’s just sealed to be non-fray. All the flat clothing labels have +1cm seam allowance added to each side (on top of the stated fabric label size). You can sew flat with no fold, and it's probably best to scissor cut our edge off, but there will be risk of fraying.

Do You Have any Design Tips?

All labels have a thin black or grey cutting line so that we can trim your labels to size. This will be sewn into your product so should not be visible in end use. To achieve best results when you design your own custom fabric labels, keep your label design clean and bold. Do not use font sizes under 10pt. Do not use lightweight or fine fonts. Keep in mind the label size you are producing. Small labels only have room for a logo. For care labels with lots of instruction text, choose a larger label. For branding fabric label layout, here are some useful tips.

Make a Collage

How to add your collage to your product

Step 1 – Click the start design button & select your product options.

Step 2 – Go to the ‘Images & Text Tools’ tab, click the ‘add images/Text’ button on your product & ‘Select Images to Upload’ or use the Facebook/Instagram tabs.

Step 3 – Choose the images you want to use for your collage, upload & select them from the uploaded photos list.

Step 4 – Click ‘Create montage’ & select your collage style.

Step 5 – Add the collage to your design.

Hints and Tips

  • The more images you add to your collage the smaller each image will be. Fewer images will be larger and give you more clarity and detail.
  • The more people in an image, the less detail there will be. If you have 10 images of a group of five friends, each person will be smaller than if you have 10 images of just one person.
  • Try to make sure that the longest side of each image is around 10 centimetres. There is a handy ruler built into the design tool to help you with this.
  • Smaller products will not be able to fit as many images as larger ones will.
