This shirt features the colors of late season peaches one can find in September, such as the O’Henry peaches, a variety developed by Grant Merrill in Central California in the 1960s. I photographed a couple nice looking peaches in the family orchard and used those to provide the orange colors in the pattern. The red, yellow, and green colors in the design come from photographs of pears in the orchard. The center of the shirt features a large nine-pointed star, while the sleeves have the stripes of orange, red, and yellow from the peaches.
