This cardigan is covered with a design derived from a photograph of an early 20th century Kazakh dress displayed in a museum. The portion of the photograph I used to make the pattern included gold with malachite, and cloth with orange, green, and red designs on a white field. The sleeves of this cardigan have a pattern that is minimally transformed, whereas the front and back show a pattern where the original image has been made into stars of eight-points. Over the heart on the front is a nine-pointed star, while a larger nine-pointed star covers the upper back. Someone could celebrate the culture and art of Kazakhstan with this cardigan.
